This vehicle is used for two activities, the first - to clean underground hydrant pits at airports and, second - to drain the low and dead end points of the under ground hydrant lines. The Pit Cleaning Vehicle uses a vacuum pump run by its Power Take Off Unit for creating vacuum in the pressure tank for sucking dirty fuel from the hydrant pits into it. Alternatively, the design could be one using air operated

diaphragm pump with two storage vessels of different capacities on the vehicle. One storage vessel could be of 1000 Litres and second vessel could be of 4,000 to 7,000 Litres based on the customer’s requirement.
